 Local DAV Chapter Gets New
Van for Veterans. The Appalachian
D.A.V. Chapter 105 has purchased a new Mini Van to transport Veterans to and from their doctor’s appointments to Knoxville,
Johnson City, and Nashville VA Medical Treatment Facilities. The purchase of this vehicle would not have
been possible were it not for the generous contributions made to the DAV by the estate of former DAV member and Honor Guard
member, Phillip “Pappy” Parnell and the Campbell County Honor Guard. This transportation service
will only survive by the donations to the DAV. The DAV would also like to express our appreciation to Rusty
Wallace Honda of Knoxville and Sandy’s Custom Auto in La Follette for their special service and support.
Campbell County can be very proud of the work of the local DAV and Honor Guard does for our Veterans. The
Campbell Honor Guard is always looking for new members to join their ranks to honor the fallen and their families.
